Ray Barros
Ray Barros is a professional trader, fund manager, author and teacher. Since he started trading twenty years ago, his track record consistently reflects a whopping 39 percent per annum return on a compounded basis. He is also the author of two books – ‘The Nature of Trends’ and ‘The Ray Wave’. Ray has been regularly featured in regional newspapers and publications like Business Times, Smart Investor, Sydney Morning Herald, just to name a few, to share his success story, trading philosophy, strategies and advice.
A lawyer by profession and training, Ray gave up his lucrative law practice in the 1980s to focus on his first love – trading. His initial attempts failed miserably but, after making all the mistakes in a trader’s manual and then some, he finally hit on a trading approach that gives him the market edge. His approach, Barrometrics, has been proven effective in both trending and congested markets, allowing him to trade profitably and consistently. The successfulness of Barrometrics is further affirmed as major banks sought him out to manage their funds as well as train their institutional traders.
At the age of 45 years old, Ray was able to retire more than comfortably.
Compelled by a strong desire to give back to the society, Ray came out of his retirement two years later. He felt that it was unnecessary that many traders - both beginner and seasoned traders – were making the same trading mistakes he had made previously. With this concern, he again started giving public seminars based on the fundamentals of Barrometrics, equipping traders to trade profitably under all market conditions.
What sets Ray apart from many others is his rich trading experience, his track record as well as his personal commitment to each and every one of his students in their quest for trading success.
To Ray, his success as a teacher is measured by the positive effects he has had on his students in their pursuit of their goals.
